Chairman

DR. ZAFAR MUSTAFA JAJJAH

Dr Zafar Mustafa is the founding member of the board of directors of DYSON Research Laboratories (PVT)Ltd.. An in-bone entrepreneur with a quest to do the undone conceived this company with the vision to bring research & development into play in the national pharmaceutical industry. His commitment with the cause, clearer vision and strong belief in values established DRL as a quality oriented emerging company in Pakistan. As Chairman he is the mainstay of company’s business philosophy and strategy along with his key role as a human resource developer.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

MR. MAHMMAD AHMED VIRK

Mr. Mahmood Ahmad Virk joined the BOD in 2004, and has been participating actively on key strategic roles since 2012. In his current role as CEO, he focuses on improving the day-to-day business operations by monitoring budgets, improving information system, and by introducing the performance oriented culture across the company. His strong administrative, strategic, and leadership skills are an asset and more than aptly meet the ever changing requirements of today’s global business miliue.

GROUP DIRECTOR MARKETING & SALES

DR. SHAHZAD SHAFIQUE

GDMS is working as a Group Director Marketing & Sales and board member since 2013. In this role, he is responsible for shaping the company’s marketing strategy, working closely with Board Members to deliver top-line growth, driving productivity to enable this growth, exploring & analyzing new areas of investment. In 2013, after joining DRL, he made successful inductions to build his team. Initially, he remained focus on Policy Development and its alignment with all elements of strategy to manage the business operations. Additionally, he is responsible for capability development and cultural transformation across the organization to meet the everyday changing requirements of business.

Before a part of DYSON, he was working with Shaigan Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd for 10 years in a capacity of Director Marketing and Sales.

DIRECTOR FINANCE & COMPANY SECRETARY

MR. JEHANZEB RAUF KAHLON

Mr. Jehanzeb Rauf Kahlon assumed the role of Director Finance & Company Secretary in 2004, and is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for DRL, including ensuring the company’s strategy to create shareholder value, communicating the company’s strategies, and implementing a capital structure, financial processes and controls to support the company’s growth and return on investment goals.

Mr. Jehanzeb is also responsible for Franchise Business of the company and deals in various sales groups to look after sales performance through Franchise.

Additionally he looks after the Institutional sales and is promoting the company’s products in the top institutions of the Pakistan namely WAPDA Hospitals, FAUJI Foundation Hospitals, Social Security Hospitals and many DHQs and THQs of the country.

He is also heading two distribution setups namely Atlantis Pharma and Ellison Research Laboratories.

Mr. Jehanzeb Holds an M.B.A. degree (Major: Finance), from the Institute of Management Sciences.

DIRECTOR PLANT OPERATIONS

DR. TAHIR SHARIF

Dr. Tahir Sharif “Director Plant Operations” has been working with DRL since 2003. He has demonstrated on multiple levels leadership excellence, technical proficiency and effective management strategy to direct and provide senior leadership for the strategic, administrative, operational and regulatory activities at DRL Plant Unit. In his role, he focuses to align the operational activates with strategy to achieve the committed results throughout the journey.

In recent years, based on his technical team’s strengths, he emphasized on compliance of cGMP practices and to ensure the controlled documentation at Plant. Furthermore, he uplifted the product development department, and ensured research work of many new which are emerging increasingly on dramatic scale globally.

Dr. Tahir has an excellent skill to continuously improve & keep update the infrastructure with cost effective approach.  He has a keen interest to develop & design career path of his team and to transform themselves in their best version.
